Colette is to French dressing as French dressing is to iceberg lettuce: the standard.
An arbiter of style, Parisian concept boutique Colette is bringing la French Touche to New York City with a pop-up store commissioned by the Gap. The collaboration resulted in a collection of traditional Gap items transformed by Colette-approved designers -- in the mix is a trench embellished with designs by French graffiti artist André, graphic tees created by teams of New York and Paris designers, and denim jackets by Olympia Le Tan.
The pop-up also hosts a handful of the traditional Colette collaboration products like Hello Kitty watches, Asics sneakers, and Oakley sunglasses.
We've heard the crowds are arriving in droves and stock is flying off the shelves. Elbow your way through to the goods, and don't even try to pardon your French.
Open until October 5th.
